What do you think about member specific albums? (1 Viewer)

Sometimes the only difference between the albums is the cover, sometimes the whole photobook inside is of the specific member. In any case, do you like the idea of member specific albums and would you buy them? I personally would only buy a member specific one after i had gotten the group album, like for Itzy's new album I am hoping to get OT5 version

If they do these I hope they don't tell the members which version sold the most often because it can easily disrupt the dynamics with a popularity contest

i think it'd be hard for them not to know but maybe they can force themselves to be ignorant, i am pretty sure that for itzy ryujin's version has sold the most so far but thankfully OT5 beat her out I think?

For those that buy all member versions, I feel bad because the company have deliberately targeted them for money. With me I’ve only ever bought my bias’ version (for example Xiumin’s version of DFTF)

Group albums with member-specific versions? Seems a bit much, unless one only plans to buy one version. So I guess it depends on the consumer.

Oof I hope Seventeen never does this I don’t hate the idea but I definitely wouldn’t buy all of them unless it was a smaller group, even then I may not. I would probably just do the group version in the end.

i like group albums where its just like the photocards and mini posters that are member specific. for member specific albums I think its okay if its random and there are some ot7 stuff in it. i don't think its as much of a problem if fans buy and then sell/trade for the members they want if that makes sense

I think the idea behind it is cool, but it's also just a big money grabber for the companies since fans would be more likely to buy each members version of the album
