female and male friendship?
I recently watched Santa Clarita Diet and had a thought about how there still isn't any female and male friendship without them falling in love.
It happened in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina as well and surely in many many more tv shows and movies.

But it's so boring and predictable when it's happening, I would love to see a friendship based on not having them be together for the sake of giving the story a love plotline. Maybe I just haven't seen enough shows and movies where that happens as well.

It's more rare for sure, usually you always have to have that love line going on. And with movies there isn't that much time to develop proper friendships- or make that's excuse, but for example action movies- if you only have one female character in main cast and you think you have to have that romance going on- well no male-female frienships for that movie xd

That said, some that came to my mind:

Meredith & Alex (Grey's Anatomy)

When Christina left show in season 10, Alex became Meredith's best friend and "person"

Captain America & Black Widow (MCU)

This might be bit surprising and they do have one kissing scene (to distract), but overall they seem to be in friendly basis. Though the friendship isn't really explored outside of Winter Soldier and Civil War.

agreed.
I watched few shows where at least one character was with almost all the cast,, like pls stop lmfao.

I need best friends types and not just where they fall in love types after few episodes like it's annoying as hell.

A perfect example is Bonnie and Damon from The Vampire Diaries. They hated each other but grew to be best friends. Which is amazing. The Vampire Diaries in itself was a great show.

I never thought much into it, the way things like this are depicted in shows/movies are obviously a far reach from reality
When I come across a movie or show where it stays a friendship, it feels refreshing compared to just the same route as other shows/movies
