I'm talking this generalizing a lot, because I know that a few of these younglins are actually even smarter than me these days.

Point is...

Don't you see that as a problem that is usually just shoved under the rug?

I mean, specially when we are talking about a society where adults have mental health issues, younglins have mental health issues, and on top of that...

Even the parents of both have that too.

So yeah, isn't that a problem that people usually don't give a second thought?

When they should?

Gets to the point that even friends of the same age go like
"uhm. is that really a problem though?"

While not even considering the age of the person they are saying that to, or the context.
Not considering even their own ages sometimes.

I'm not really sure what you're talking about exactly but I do with agree with you in a sense. I think we've seen it a few times in the last year with YouTubers and alike having kind of inappropriate relationships with younger influencers or sometimes even fans. I'm not talking about sexual stuff, I'm talking about just the uneven power dynamic that can naturally occur with age and maturity.

That's why I only talk to the younger members here in the public threads and not in DMs because even though I know I'm not planning on saying or doing anything wrong, I feel like it'd just be weird of me to be having private conversations with a teenager on the internet...

I think to an extent is ok.

What i mean is, we need to be conscious of what we say like...

idk, stuff we say influences others lives to a point, you know.

The minimal would be to be gentle with anyone, actually.

At least when it's about trying to understand what is each others deal.

I'm not going to focus on the sexual stuff, since that should be a consensus that is a bad thing - which sadly isn't always seen like that because of many variables.

Having an unhealthy power dynamic is always something to watch out for but for this scenario specifically it can have situations where a young person trusts an adult just because they're an adult and adulthood is seen as this big thing to some kids and it shouldn't be as just because someone is an adult however it doesn't say anything about their maturity mentally as well as other qualities which is what should ultimately tell you how much trust you should put into that person.

And that is the responsibility of the older one to figure out, even though those boundaries should be obvious

What I mean is in a messed environment, we see the "hierarchies" all over the place

If there is one at all

Mental age does make a sense, but then there's experience too, which also doesnt match exactly the physical age.

Some people aren't social, don't study, don't work for some reason, dont read etc

Which probably doesnt even have the expected result and can even damage the child's life kinda.

The moms watched the show because he as an actor appealed/pandered to grown up women, even it being a show for kids.
