I guess around 10yo if they bugged me about not being able to talk to friends or smn but no earlier than that... I think I got mine with like...14? and it was my dads old one. And to this day I don't really have the newest phone I still have at least one that's a year or so older and I do my own research if it's cheap and effective.

I'm 16 and still don't have one, my grandparents say I can have one when I can buy it myself. So I'll be like 18-19

Around 13 I guess as it's when they are gonna start wanting more independence and it's better to supervise them with it than let them try and get it themselves
