SNSD is even ahead of Twice.

What does this mean?

Based on brand ranking data from February 13 to March 14, these are the most popular girl groups in Korea right now, led by LOONA and (G)I-DLE.

Essentially it's the potential value of idols/groups/actors to brands measured by engagement factors like SNS, articles written (comebacks and drama appearances tip the scales a lot), social media trending etc.
There's one for actors, individual group members and groups (individual idols factor pretty heavily on that)

Groups like Blackpink, Twice, and BTS, never leave the top 10 because they're always relevant and in the media about something. SNSD rarely leaves the top 10 because of Taeyeon and Yoona. Other inactive groups are kept in the top 50 because of because of a popular member like Girl's Day (Hyeri) or T-ara (Hyomin and Jiyeon) that's semi-active
Groups like fromis, MMLD, Cherry Bullet and etc might rise to the top 10 or 20 during comeback season because its peak engagement time for them

The problem is stans treat it like a "idol A is more popular than idol B" when that's not what it's for and really shouldn't be used to determine overall popularity ranking but a good way to gauge who was the talk of the town for the month. Gallup is a better way to measure actual popularity

I wish they would make one for soloists. I'd love to know where Jessica places compared to everyone else

It's essentially useless as you get points for being talked about positively and negatively so you can top it while being trashed and someone can get second while getting nothing but praise and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
