Seulgi debuted in 2014. Chungha debuted in 2016. Chungha’s solo debut smashed but besides Red Velvet fans buying her albums, Seulgi’s solo is doing as bad as nugus

My bad I thought I.O.I debuted earlier 😓 Chungha still had her produce fame with her like the Iz*one members have. Survival shows are great to build a strong fanbase that follows YOU in particular and not the group in general so they garner more attention at their solo debut because of this. As i said, they're both very talented and while it is very sad that Seulgi's album isn't getting the recognition it deserves, i don't see how Chungha is related to it?

Seulgi already had a big fandom even before Chungha debuted, not like Taeyeon size but still large for a female idol. The issue is the public is just not interested, the question is why. If they gave Chungha a chance why not Seulgi

we can't predict people's interest :( the most flagrant exemple is tik tok. you can never predict what will go viral on there. she might have a large fanbase but they still didn't bother to tune in which is just sad, she needs the support more than ever.

im not really into numbers and all, so not sure how u got to that conclusion, but i havent heard anyone really criticize the album
also seulgi is as big or bigger than chungha, but that doesnt really affect the charts as much. its the general public that affects it, so might be just a case of what song fits best the casual listener. nothing to do with what one has that the other doesnt imo
