Most of you probably know of the song "We Didn't Start the Fire", it lists a bunch of historical events/people from 1949 to 1989. I haven't heard it in ages and was reminded of it today. I tried to remember just one of the listed things for ages and the first one I remembered was "British politician sex"
Why is that the seemingly most notable one to me? The next one I thought of was "England's got a new queen". So the most notable were about British things apparently. Even more notable than Spitnik and Sally Ride who on my second listen stuck out (Sputnik because the pronunciation, Sally Ride because I was curious in her inclusion over others. But looking back at the list not all are necessarily the first to do something globally and she did do something famous and is well known).
