My mom always tells me a a story about when I was born. She said I was born bald, no hair at all. The nurses told her that I’ll have red hair, to which my mom thought yeah right, there’s no way. And I did. I am lowkey curious now they knew

Neither of my parents have red hair, none of my grandparents too. Or any of my living relatives for that matter

Well I’ve passed 18 years old, which I’ve learned with when my parents drop the whole “by the way here’s your biological parents we never mentioned” bombshell. From my sisters experience that’s how it went down at least Plus I do realistically resemble my dad a lot

No, I’m not But my sister has a different dad. They had her, got divorced, and then my parents married. They wanted to wait until she was 18 to introduce them but us kids found out (first my sister snooped through my parents citizenship paperwork, then we found her dad on LinkedIn I think, then I asked my grandma who can’t keep secrets about it and reported back to my sister about it). That happened when I was 13 I think, so she was 14 ish, maybe just turned 15. Sometime then. But when my sister turned 18 my mom sent her an email with her dad in the message and maybe her other half sister (unrelated to me) too. Don’t know details about it, just that it happened.

its actually not uncommon, if non-red hair parents are both carrying the recessive gene for red hair, ur baby gonna have a chance at having red hair.
they can have like no red head relatives either, but its that recessive gene hiding within, u just never know

I think my parents knew my great grandparents (most of not all) so those they knew couldn’t have red hair because my parents said none of the relatives they knew had red hair.
