Vegans are scared. When the shit hits the fan and society is running out of food... the carnivores can always eat the vegans... but the vegans can't eat the carnivores.

The advantage is that a vegan zombie apocalypse can be fought with an army of rabbits. The zombies can't eat the rabbits but the rabbits can eat all the salad.

People in wartimes ate sawdust and glue because of a lack of food but I don’t see that being part of your daily diet In the current times where one can have a proper and nutritious diet with no animal products, why should people be forced to eat animal products or belittled for not doing so?
I’m not a vegan personally, and I agree that crazy vegan extremists are bad, but crazy “I eat meat so I’m so cool” extremists are even worse. If you’re actually so triggered that someone would rather not eat animal products that you’d make fun of them for that then I think you have no moral high ground here. Especially because it really doesn’t seem like you guys talking about extremists, it seems like people are talking about all vegans. And this also isn’t just at you, it’s at everyone in this thread acting that way because what has this thread even become.

thank you for pointing that out because i entered this thread thinking all these replies would be about other ridiculous signs in stores but it turned out to be just "vegans bad"

You can use supplements (that's not the point, you can get every nutrient from synthetic sources) but what about real food?

Meat eaters could use some planning too. Loads are missing certain nutrients and vitamins because they don’t eat enough of every necessary ingredient. The difference is that if a vegetarian or vegan is deficient in anything food related the focus is on the lack of meat, while if a meat eater is missing stuff it’s “oopsie, maybe I should add a bit of veggie at some point instead of eating burgers only. No big deal, hehe”. Also I’m pretty sure vegans and vegetarians plan more by default for food and know better what vitamins and nutrients are needed, so it’s not like most of them are adverse to planning a bit for health reasons. Besides, they spend less time cooking anyways, so there you’ve got built in free time to plan meals.

agreed on this. it's kinda hypocritical that so many people (not on ks, in general) are so worried about vegans missing out on something just because they choose to not eat animal based products but you don't hear that much concern around people who brag about eating mcdonalds every second day, in some cases that is even seen as "relatable"
