What if D1CE got their 1st win before Dreamcatcher? (1 Viewer)

I'm just thinking that if D1CE actually does well with this comeback and if they actually got a win and then did better than Dreamcatcher on just their second comeback, if you're an InSomnia, would you be upset and frustrated?

In case people don't know, D1CE are a brother group to Dreamcatcher, so they are a BG as well and BG's usually do better than GG's in the Kpop world.

So, my question is, would you be happy for them or would you be frustrated that it has taken Dreamcatcher years to get where they are and still haven't got a win and then their brother group comes along and gets a win before them?

Because here's my thinking, if D1CE does somehow get a win before Dreamcatcher and they start to overtake Dreamcatcher, maybe that would make HappyFace Entertainment put more focus on D1CE than on Dreamcatcher?

Why not? InSomnia's seem to also love D1CE, plus you got the original D1CE fans. Not to mention that not many D1CE fans don't know who Dreamcatcher are, so although it is unlikely, it's not impossible.

Dreamcatcher is significantly more popular, plus a lot of insomnias don't know D1CE. Unless their Korean popularity is significantly significantly higher than their international they have no way of being able to win atm, since D1CE aren't known by most people but people have at the very least heard if Dreamcatcher.

Again that is true and I don't think D1CE will be able to overtake Dreamcatcher. However, D1CE music and concept is more friendly with the Korean public than Dreamcatcher's, so while Dreamcatcher will probably always have a bigger international fanbase than D1CE, I think there is a slim possibility that D1CE could do better than Dreamcatcher in their home country and that is what you need to win music shows.

Plus, it seems that music shows will do anything to not give Dreamcatcher their 1st win, like what happened with Deja Vu and obviously, they didn't need to rig any shows when Dreamcatcher went up against IZ*ONE lol

But say like if D1CE did get their 1st win before Dreamcatcher and went on to do pretty well and eventually surpass Dreamcatcher, wouldn't that be even more frustrating for Dreamcatcher and InSomnia and maybe even cause fanwars between D1CE fans and InSomnia??

Hopefully, that doesn't ever happen and if it somehow did, I would encourage InSomnia's to just focus on Dreamcatcher, unless of course you are a fan of both.

Yeah, I'd rather both fandoms support each other than hate each other and even if you are not a fan of the other, just focus on the group you like best.
I find it hard for D1CE to win this comeback though with so many tough groups coming back, so it's not just Dreamcatcher who comeback at the wrong time, D1CE does as well by the looks of it and must be a company thing

There are a lot of public friendly songs that don't do well because the group is not well known. Their songs being more public friendly isn't really a plus in my opinion.
However if the slight chance does actually come true there will definitely be some mad InSomnias however I don't see how anyone could be blamed for that situation. You can't blame their company for giving D1CE more public friendly songs cuz that would mean Dreamcatcher would have to change their concept completely to appeal to the mass public which wouldnt be a good thing for many InSomnias for one example.

Yes, it's like Blinks and Army's, since they are both massive fandoms, there are more bad apples, so they have a much worse reputation but we know that the majority of Army and Blinks are not bad and some are even multifandom stans.

If D1CE does somehow manage to get a win before Dreamcatcher, I'll probably be disappointed since Dreamcatcher have been slowly building themselves up but I won't be angry and certainly not angry at the D1CE guys and it would just be an opportunity for Dreamcatcher and InSomnia to keep improving as a group and fandom.

At the end of the day, unless you support both groups, you should be focusing on being a good fan for Dreamcatcher or D1CE to help in making them a better product.

D1CE and Dreamcatcher winning would mostly come down to The Show but that just comes down to timing more than anything however as long as Dreamcatcher do eventually win then that's all I think really matters
