I know this is supposed to be a great day for them and us since their comeback is in a few hours but can't help but feeling sad and mad after I heard that " Hope Not" is a song they recorded since before their debut
FY,Really and See you later were songs they recorded before their debut too
They recorded alot of songs that is enough for few full albums but he just doesn't want to give them a full album after 3 years and they deserve it,they deserve a full album
If anyone in that company that deserve more comebacks it's them .it's so frustrating that no matter how successful they are and no matter how much achievement they will have,YG will never treat them well,will never respect them,will never stop treating them as a joke
People were saying that Teddy is the problem but seeing the amount of songs they recorded predebut,there is no way that Teddy is the problem
I'm so sad and this isn't just because of they are my favorite group
The girls deserve so much more
I don't understand why YG is so misogynist to the point that he prefers his company going bankrupt over treating his biggest group well just because they are girls
BP have to cb with 4 old songs everytime, now i'm sure that his 2 new boy groups will debut with albums

I guess his idea with BP is minimum effort -> maximum profit. We will never know for 100% why, i can only assume and my impressions are / maybe he didnt believe in BP till D4, one would hope he finally realized the potential of Blackpink. 😭

His BG doing actually good, sure its really hard to stand against BBs achievements, where on the other hand BP surpassed "on paper" 2NE1s achievements, but its different times, with kpop being more exposed everywhere, so dont be mad fellow 2NE1 fans, i know how amazing and important 2NE1 was for kpop ❤

I don't see how anyone could think this is unreasonable I mean you can take quite a few years from the other top girl groups and in that year alone they have a bigger output than Blackpink in 2/3 years which is baffling.

I think it's all really sad, even as someone who doesn't stan, I think that they deserve to be given more work, not necessarily for the fans but for them as artists. Being put on hiatuses and waiting too long for comebacks is clearly affecting some of the members emotionally and physically.

Their expensive image, the girls not seeming that approachable to the public ( the girls do seem more mysterious than other girl groups) is probably one of the reasons why YG is putting in the minimum for them. He is building up hype, he is building up the thought that when BP does comeback that it's always a hit.
I really don't know if Teddy is at fault. It's more or less a combination of things. You gotta think like a buisness man here. If you can put in the minimum and can get the maximum out of it - wouldn't you continue with that strategy?

I made this thread while i was angry and as a fan all i'm seeing him giving more to his boy groups even his new 2 boy groups will already have more than BP since their debut
He hates women so much so but it's true idk why people will get hurt if i said that they aren't doing that well and getting more than BP

He needs to give everyone more in general, Winner and iKON have had more than their share of shitty YG management.

Blackpink are presented as these supermodels or fashion icons who are also idols, like Twice are presented as girls next door who could be your friends.

I do agree with the OP that using old songs recorded years ago for new comebacks is kinda shitty though. Begs the question wtf does YG actually do during all these months of hiatus, they always say they're working on new music but it's actually old music lmao, what a snake.

This is what I thought too. By building up the hype comeback by comeback YG just manages to make more money, since BP comebacks are now a pretty rare phenomenon. People look forward to it more and are able to throw even more money at YG as they've saved up some. If that's not what they're going for then I don't know what the hell is, as currently BP is a walking piggybank.

However it will probably shoot him in the foot sooner or later, as it really doesn't show YG in a good light. YG isn't exactly likeable as of now with all the scandals going on, so it'll eventually show in sales if he doesn't step up...

• It took 5 years for him to let CL to get a written song put on a 2ne1 album (Blackjacks correct me if I'm wrong) Despite coming from the company proud of "creative artists" 2ne1 had the least writing credits out of Big 3 ggs. A little bit behind Soshi and way behind WG.
• He berated the girls for their visuals and used a "better group" (SNSD) to hold them to. When you get that from the public, that's one thing. When it's your boss telling you that, especially when you're an adolescent, that's something else completely.
• Over-reliance on Teddy
• He sabotaged CL's career to where everyone thought she was wasting her (and 2ne1's) time in the States. It's now coming out that she actually had a lot lined up for herself.
• He scrapped Minzy's album for "someone more important"
