Something very simple like coming over to talk to me if I am alone at a new gathering or a party
I really appreciated those gestures when I was a teenager/preteen and very insecure and socially anxious

After about a month of uni, a bunch of us went on a night out. There was a big night of boxing on so the pub was packed (mainly older guys). When I went to get another drink, a male classmate went to the bar with me incase any other guy would try and pester me. Turns out a guy did anyway, who was already drunk and offering ecstasy pills. Nice of my classmate to have my back though.

In high school, a kid that used to ask me for a sheet of paper all the time took a whole stack out of his binder and gave it to me. It was way more paper than I ever gave him.

not me, but my friend was at Starbucks getting the two of us some coffee, and the guy in front of her just randomly was like "dw I got this" so she basically got the drinks for free!

I guess after thinking some more it's mostly just when people accept me despite my flaws. That's the nicest thing anyone can really do for another imo (unless theyre really really flawed aka dicks. There's no pressure to accept someone like that).

I think when someone shows genuine interest in me as a person. I’m really quiet, not very sure of myself so it feels good to know even if I’m quiet and don’t say much someone is still willing to get to know me and is patient with me.
