and why?

three days OSS for me, but it wasn't even my fault. Some chick had slipped cig remains wadded up in a paper towel into the back of my binder one day at lunch. I hadn't noticed until my study skills teacher (whom I'd had immediately after lunch) pointed it out and said she was going to report me for simply having the cig remains, EVEN THOUGH SHE'D KNOWN FULL WELL that I don't smoke! But the school had a zero tolerance policy about possession of contraband, hence the three days suspension.

and for anyone asking, that teacher wasn't mean per se, she was just following the rules

I had detention a lot in sixth grade but after that I sorta made it my mission to figure out how to bend rules. In high school I practically got away with murder. I'm pretty much still the same. I get away with so much at work that only a few others can get away with.

Aaah yes, the only time I misbehaved in school.
Happened 21 years ago and still am traumatised.

It was the least year of kindergarten.

Whenever it rained, we had to wait in our class to get picked up by parents/grandparents etc.
I was in my mom's class and we had a kid that had Down's Syndrome in our class. He had a special teacher who came in for a few hours to work with him.

I was sitting next to a boy who would become the bully in elementary school.
Dude kept poking me in my ribs and it hurt. So I tried to tell my mom, who was busy talking to parents. I was shushed.
Kept trying to tell her multiple times but no result.
So I took matters in my own hands


And bit the boy in his arm.
The teacher of of the boy with Down's syndrome of course saw that but not me getting poked.

Guess who was put into the corner?
The teacher's very own daughter, me.

on thursday i got expelled from school actually 😭
cuz i had 3 major write ups, 11 minor, 4 suspensions, and i got caught smoking once
so i have to go to an alternative school after next week

I kinda got kicked out of school for being neurodivergent? The school wanted to put all students with special needs INCLUDING any 504s/IEPs in a secondary location which also just so happened to be the school where they put the students with violence issues. Yeah no I quit and got a GED instead

There's so many instances where the teachers don't listen to the student so the student takes the blame. This is exactly how I ended up in detention. Had a substitute teacher, these other girls decided to sit at my assigned table and would not shut uuupp. Because of that everyone was written up including me. I was so upset when my teacher gave me the detention slip the next day that I full ob BAWLED my eyes out.

It's the school that also nearly kicked out one of my electives teachers for making "practical Fridays" that weren't about his subject but instead about important things like how to ace job interviews and do taxes so it was unsurprising. We are a farming town, we already know the very basics of animal science so just let us learn more important things

Are you American? Because if so then I'm genuinely not surprised. There's so many restrictions and useless material that serves as being "educational". American mentality, "Let's be different, but not practical at all." Anyways, it's unfortunate you had to go through that.
