and wherefore? (why, not where lol) (excuse my very broken bardanese, I was never good at understanding Shakespeare)

Mine is Romeo & Juliet. It ends in tragedy, sure, but I love it for the romance aspects. Yanno, bc romance novels are my thing. lol I also kind of like Hamlet, but I like the movie with Ethan Hawke better.

it's okay, I was too busy with BSB to care what it translated to in plain English. Little short phrases like "I bite my thumb at you" (means they're trying topick a fight with their opponent) I did understand, but not the longer ones like... well, the longer ones. lol that's why I said excuse my broken bardanese.

Other than Romeo & Juliet, I had to read Othello in HS. Probably prefer Othello more. Don't know why, HS was so long ago.

I remember doing some of Shakespeare's works in school, but none of them were interesting at all.
Also, I didn't understand the point of it.
Were we, the students, going to return speaking that way???? No! So, then, why?????
