What is your favorite less known music genre? (1 Viewer)

Some of my favorite music genres are less known, not mainstream, indie, hipster, whatever you want to call it. But what i mean by this is anything but ur regular pop, rock etc., sth you think most people don't know exists.

For me that's DnB- Drum and Bass. It's part of electronic genre, but distinctives for it are fast beats and heavy bass lines. Some songs are just instrumentals, but many have vocals. DnB genre has lot of mixes as well where pop song (or some other genre) is turned into DnB song so it's bit similar like nightcore with this just without overly high-pitched vocals. There is some youtube channels dedicated to uploading DnB music, but apart from that I don't really hear about the genre.

I don't really listen pure folk, but lot of artists that i like have folk influenced songs : )

yeah, I wouldn´t say I listen to typical folk? but like "neo-folk" or whatever that could be called. basically folk-inspired, remastered versions :D

like someone thought let´s make it sound pretentious and came up with that name :D. the funny part is really not the genre itself, but the fact that someone needed a specific name? ... like why :D

yeah but even if they are subgenres there are some pretty popular names i think
with post-teen pop having billie eilish, dua lipa, miley cyrus, harry styles in it

I actually tried the spotify app too and I got post-teen pop for Lady Gaga

The genres are mess though it says my most listened genre is otacore. I can pretty much guess that it's just calling me a filthy weeb
