What is your opinion on assignments that ask overly personal questions? (1 Viewer)

I hate them I am here to learn, not for you to know my entire life story. I’m doing an assignment right now and the questions are like “where did your grandparents grow up” and shit like that ​

I hate them. Especially when the marker tells you you weren't reflective enough or didn't dig deep enough.

I went as far as I wanted to for that assignment, take it or leave it.

It’s not, it’s a personal reflection for my culture competencies class, but even so questions like that are difficult because I’m unable to answer them.
