I feel like it’s something to avoid because everyone knows others will get mad. As for whether it’s an actual problem that’s a different and sensitive question that I won’t get further into.

This reminds me of the scandal of Sabrina Carpenter dancing in a Catholic church for her Feather music video (absolute bop btw).
She wasn't dressed inappropriately; she didn't dance or do anything inappropriate and got permission (though the priest who gave her that permission was punished). But Catholicism is very different from nondenominational Christian which I am so I can't say much about it. However, I personally do not think that she did anything too terrible.

And as far as the Bible goes, there are no rules to dancing in or in front of churches. It's more about respect than anything.

its a public space.
