for me, concept doesn't really matter i just think as long as it has that group's vibe, you know? like even if i never heard the song i can immediately tell which group the song is from, or if i guess multiple songs they're among my guesses.

I also find that if the bridge/dance break is structures with lots of heavy beats or if the chorus has an anti-drop i tend to like the song. not that i don't like drops in the chorus but a good anti-drop >>> a good drop

I think if a song is cohesive and has a good melody and chorus then i would consider it a good song. Additionally, it should be listenable multiple times and that the music doesn’t overpower the vocals.

To me? Grooviness, individuality, emotion, danceability. But not all in one song, most of the time it's just one of those things and I still like the song. I'm sure there's more...

For me, it has to be a song I can remember the beat to within a few listens. If after that I can’t remember how it goes, then I’ll just forget it exists and not go back to it.

I feel bad for it sometimes because it somehow seems worse than not liking a song, but I’m not going out of my way to listen multiple times for a lost cause.
