actually this brings me to an opinion i have about dino as svt's maknae, which i'll just drop in spoilers because it's not really relevant

Spoiler: my opinion

i think dino's one of the more unique maknaes out there because... i feel like he's simply another member. like, that's what is image is more like, rather than "the eternal baby", "the maknae on top" or whatever. sure, man's teased a lot by his members, and also receives the additional babying + admiration (think: "omg our makdoongie is such a great dancer ❤" posted by a member on weverse or smth... but idk it doesnt really define him. he's dino. excellent main dancer, great singer and rapper too, and we love him. he's also the maknae, but that doesnt define him. but again take this w a grain of salt as this is coming from a carat who is significantly younger than all members (7 years younger than dino, to be precise)

but yea i agree! to be honest i rarely think of dino as the maknae, he doesn't have that maknae vibe if that makes sense, at least not anymore? in the early years jeonghan would tease him w the nugu aegi thing and he still had a cute youthful vibe but the members stated that they don't see him as a kid anymore because he's so hardworking and passionate, and dino also made it pretty clear that he doesn't want to be seen as "svt's baby". scoups on the other hand is an infamous fake maknae with the way he can be so pouty and whiny sometimes lmao i wonder if all of this has anything to do with dino being the eldest and scoups being the youngest sibling in their families?

ooh certainly! i will agree that in their rookie days dino had a strongish maknae image, but it's toned down certainly, which is really what i like abt him + svt really. he was young then, he had that strong image. he's older now, he doesn't anymore. like don't get me wrong i love my maknaes that remain maknaes forever (case-in-point: taemin, was shinee's baby when he debuted, still is shinee's baby), but i also love how dino's image has grown.
about coups - yeah i'm pretty certain the reason they're like this is because of their birth-order in their families this also reminds me that taemin is the youngest in his family, no wonder he's like this.
now i'm actually thinking about birth-order, and it explains so much about so many idols hahah
