It’s a Germanic language Just a Germanic language that borrowed most of its vocab from French and Latin Also it may be a bit hard to see in everyday life because a lot of Latin is present in technical terms that the average person doesn’t use, while the more common day language has a higher Germanic influence comparatively.

Change Latin to Romance and you’re basically there Germanic is a bit high though

I was going to say like 30% but romantic tends to be a bit more skewed because you also have a lot of those similarities with more asian countries from the indo-european cluster
