idk if its just my country but social studies and psychology are two very different things in my country. psychology is the study of the human mind and behaviour whereas social studies is the study of real world issues

it might be a difference in the educational system, but psychology is a unit that is taught in grade 8, and is sometimes a separate subject for some high schools (high schools that specialise in humanities, grammar schools sometimes offer seminars, psychology might be a separate subject at economic lyceums etc.).

Where I live, Social studies is an umbrella term for things like history, psychology, humanities etc
