Elementary school
We had Field Day in the spring, a whole day where we're outside doing active things. The faculty and staff would grill food, we had water balloons and guns, a DJ. We did activities in rotations, in which we were in groups based off of our homeroom and we'd play that specific game for 30 minutes, then move to a new activity. We had a dunk tank for the teachers too.

High school
Juniors were able to take a trip to a Spanish-speaking country for a week. We did a little bit of relaxing, volunteering, and visiting a high school to shadow a student.

Seniors took 2-3 months to prepare for a cotillion-type event in the winter. We did various projects to prepare including family trees and learning a partner dance style, so we had to dance with a partner. They took us to a bridal shop for dresses and tuxes.
Of course in addition to that, we had prom in the spring.

Also in the fall and/or spring we had a day or two in which all the students in the school did workshops related to personal growth and other things we don't learn in the classroom. I think we ended the day learning that same partner dance style as well.

At high school, we have something called "bow-ceremony?" it is done during your senior year, you are basically given a little flower to put on your clothes and it says "senior". We have a prom (but unlike in the States, it´s only for the seniors) and that´s it.
Oh, one week before the high school exams, we have a parade called "last bell" when seniors go around the town and collect money from charitable strangers, but this has been more and more forbidden by the city councils.

high school - thankfully nothing :sj_weary: they weren't bothered to come up with anything because they probably knew no one would be interested.
elementary and middle school - where do i even start... they had an event for everything. every year we had this stupid sports day where everyone HAD TO participate in at least one competition which is why i always skipped it because i'm not going to run with an egg on a spoon and make myself look like an idiot given the fact that these games were outside no matter what the weather was. also every year our class made a nativity play which looked incredibly stupid, i have never felt such second hand embarassment as when i had to watch it. i didn't take part in it because i'm an atheist and they just assumed i'm too lazy to memorize the lines (i mean that's true too lmao but not the main reason why i avoided it). the nativity plays took place at the same time as another awful school tradition which was a contest where each class had to perform their version of some christmas carols and my class was so obsessed with winning this contest in our last year of middle school that they sung silent night with half of the song in polish and the other half with lines in different languages, including korean... to put it simply it was terrible and it physically hurt my ears to listen to them :wonugl:

First, second, and third grades:
-LES Super Bus (LES were my school's initials) - it was a contest to see which bus group was the best behaved or something. I think the first bus group to collect all the letters in LES Super Bus in like a week's time won a prize - don't remember what, though
-holiday-themed recitals
-book fair

Fourth and fifth grades:
-visual announcements - basically the announcements, but as seen through the classroom TV
-story time with [principal's name] and Snoopy - idk what the purpose was of him having a Snoopy doll beside him while he read to us lol, but this was part of the announcements routine
-Terrific Kids - students would nominate other students who they thought were "terrific", i.e. friendly, well-behaved, etc.
-Golden Paw Award - given to a different class I think every week? Every month? I don't even remember what the criteria were to get it, but we had one!
-fifth grade graduation
-book fair
-field day

Middle school:
-Fun Friday - basically recess for middle schoolers lol Every Friday, we'd get to go outside during the last bell
-dances - in seventh grade, they started doing dances as rewards for the most mundane things, like having a binder in class. I loved it at first, but then it got kind of boring. Thank God I moved states that Christmas! lol

High school:
-homecoming - I got to participate in our float for the homecoming parade in my senior year - lots of fun!
-Sweetest Day - kinda like V-Day but with carnations and no cards
-junior/senior proms
-pep rallies - they included chants of "Sophomore, rah! Sophomore, rah! Rah, rah, sophomores!" and continuing with juniors and seniors (it was grades 10-12; ninth graders had a separate school)
-senior trips

We had an annual fete and annual inter-house sports week every winter. Imagine Harry Potter's Goblet of Fire but without death and magic :pandalove:
