Jiyeon was incredibly popular and on her way to It Girl status before the scandal. She's still the most popular member of t-ara

Hyeri went from being the most unpopular member to the publicized because she dated a HOT member. Then went viral for again because of a viral moment in Real Men and finally went hit big for a 3rd time because of her role on Reply and shot tons of cf.

Even if she wasn't popular with ifans, she was huge in Korea

Hyeri was a household name several times. not as big as Yoona obvi but for sure on par with viral popular girls like Hani.

I love Sulli and her looks a lot. Sadly knetz started to be iffy on her even while she was in f(x). It was similar in a lot of ways to the Jennie Lazy thing, just that Sulli dating Choiza ( a much older male) didn't do her good. To add SM realyl pushed Krystal a lot too as in gave her good opportunities. It also was beneficial that together with Jess, that people wanted the sisters to endorse them even more.
