I once asked my mom "What are endorphins?" and for some reason she and my older brother started making weird faces and asked "Why do you ask?". My answer? I heard it in a song ("feelin' high endorphin" props if you get the song) and they were beating around the freaking bush lol, they did end up telling me but it was just so weird

if anyone remembers my Diamond Girls project, the member stage named Jen was originally Ching-Ching. When I told my mom about the project, it was Rookiedom, btw, but when I told my mom, she made me change it bc it was too close to a certain racial slur for Asians... and I thought it was just the sound money makes. lol but here's a double whammy for ya: I then changed it to Curly Q bc Jen's real name started with a Q and she had curly hair, but then my mom slammed that as well, telling me it was some kind of sex act??? so Jen it was! lol

p.s if anyone would like to tell me what a curly q is in sexual terms, you can just dm me. lol that way, you won't potentially get in trouble or make the younger ones uncomfortable

It’s not really the same thing, but there’s definitely questions that I’ve asked where they get so confused because theyve never thought about it. Especially with language. One of those cases where you ask something and they give an answer, but then you ask why that’s the answer and they’re completely stumped.

I was in Spanish class at the time and learned the Spanish word for shower. And lots of kids were laughing, but I didn’t get it.

Out of context my parents didn’t get why I was asking.
