.. something that mattered to you, but you never got the answer you needed.. ?

for example.. not too long ago I asked an important person I was close to if we were okay and this person assured me that everything was fine... we don't talk anymore

i've had people refuse to promise me certain things
but those weren't really questions
and i'm not about to give up on getting them to
it does matter greatly to me though
as for people in my past
i didn't ask questions i knew were going to hurt me like are we close friends
when i did ask once a very important question
i got an answer that told me all i needed to know that it would be over before it began
but i don't want to say i needed a different one
i wouldn't be here now if i had gotten it

Why was I the only exception? What did I do wrong to deserve that? How come it's only a problem when I do it? That sorta thing, there's just a lot... they didn't feel like telling me tho, they'd rather hate me than just get tf over themselves and work things out.
