i wanted to say nothing because i'm here for the music and entertainment which doesn't require much learning but your post made me realise that i have absolutely no clue how music shows work

like which scandals or controversies or "accidental" music or mv leaks might have been leaked either to boost or sabotage a come back

like ik one of the sm trainees had some singing clips leaked by staff on dc gall I think, presumably to build hype
keeping it under control must be hard, that aspect of kpop sounds fascinating

companies all (or nearly all) have their trainees divided up into teams, so usually the debut team is at least somewhat familiar before debut ig

I know in snh48 last year management had to literally create "team bonding" outings and the like to allow the new captains to familiarize themselves with their role

True, but many of them have to also compete within those teams cause often some of the members will be cut before the debut so it's a survival show without cameras I was thinking this cause I watched one of those former trainees confessions videos, where she told that best was to have business attitude towards other members- just thinking them of coworkers But ofc, outwards idols always seem extremely close like family.

most ex trainee / idol confession videos tend to be the lower tier ones too/ones who were never in the running, I wonder about the priority trainees and mega successful acts sometimes
