I have no idea what its like to fly but I hop on a plane in a little over a week. And I’ll be flying alone. Does anyone have any experience or tips?

additionally, turbulence can be a fucking bitch, so be warned.

You know those log rides? It’s like that, you can’t really feel the speed while in the plane, it’s just kinda like a smooth log ride

I have no clue if airplanes allow this, but bring a coloring book/smal craft activity to keep your mind of flying. There is tons of websites that have online jigsaw puzzles that you can solve on your device too!

I flew for the first time back in 2019. I was scared to death.. I just hate not being in control. But in the end it wasn’t scary at all. I actually loved taking off and landing. It’s really beautiful. But I still feel a bit uncomfortable being in the sky. And yes make sure like someone else mentioned, to bring hard candy to chew or gum worked for me too! And earphones can work too. If I were you, I would bring me earphones anyway since you’re alone. Pre download some music and/or series to watch and you’re good.

I’ve been told I should show up like two hours early to clear through security

It varies but they usually have Wi-Fi and changing ports at airports so even if you show up too early you have entertainment
At my airport it’s like 30 minutes max to clear security so we show up one hour early usually.

And your trip was international so theyre a little more picky than interprovincial
