Just asking out of curiosity because I've been sick on and off for the past several months. Long story short, I started dealing with postnasal drip back in August, had inflamed sinuses in September, and still I am dealing with the postnasal drip right now. I developed yet another sinus infection at the beginning of December and wound up getting a horrible cough on New Years Eve and it lasted over a month. I went to the doctors twice within the span of 5 days because the first medication I got for the cough did nothing. Thankfully they put me on amoxicillin at my second visit. It helped the cough quite a lot, but I developed another sinus infection after finished the medication. I'm even debating on whether or not to buy more sinus medicine because it hasn't done much for me and I'm almost done with a second box of it.
Next week I get to see an ENT doctor for the first time and I'm really hoping they can do something because I'm tired of coughing up mucus (and coughing in general), and having a bunch of sinus pressure and congestion. It took me two months just to get an appointment so let's just hope it's worth it.
Anyone else have a problem with being sick for a long time?
