Matcha parfait usually consists of matcha ice cream/cream, cake and jelly, mochi (rice balls) and azuki (sweet red bean paste).

The matcha has a bitter and slightly earthy taste and it does a really good job of balancing the sweetness of the ice cream and red bean paste.
