Those calculators were expensive. Thank goodness we only had to borrow those calculators since my professor bought some and we had to return them at the end of the semester.

This made me remember my uncle worked for JPL and the first calculator they bought him in the 70's was made my HP and cost over 2400 dollars.

USD, they bought one for every Engineer and got upset when most of the engineers wouldn't use them because they were to slow. It was faster to do the math manually or in their head.

I remember my TI-83, it did more than just math - you could play math games, write messages, and all kinds of stuff! Or was it an 84? lol idr exactly, but it was a TI model.

Because obviously right Well to be fair I think they required the other one at the second school because we came from all kinds of schools and likely had varying models and that I think some features the second one had were things the first one didn't do. I don't know for certain because that was ages ago but yeah. That's what my brain is telling me.

I mean the second one was a lot nicer and some of the math stuff we did probably would be difficult if not impossible to do on the other. I also think we didn’t have to pay full price for it because I looked at the price and it’s higher than seems familiar to me
