Do you flip over all the pieces at the start? Or do you do it as you go?

I used to do it as I go but now I tend to flip the pieces over more towards the start.

When I did two puzzles as a child, I think I had the pieces facing up so that I could work a bit faster.

Flip them all, sort out the edge pieces, and then sort by colour grouping

the way I taught my son

1. tip them out of hthe box bag etc
2. flip them over to the picture side
3. separate them into edges and corners and middle pieces
4. complete the edges and corners first
5. finish the puzzle

granted his puzzles are like less than 100 pieces so take that with a grain of salt lol
