do you usually stick to what you know and mostly listen to what's already in your library/playlists, or are you constantly on the hunt to discover new music/artists/genres?

for me, im always trying new sounds and spend more time adding new songs to my library rather than listen to what i already have

i stick to what i know. i'm really not the most adventurous when it comes to music. this meme is me

that said there's a whole host of artists i really want to get into (both kpop and non-kpop). it's just that idk i end up seeing exploring new music as a "task" (tho I know it isn't) so i think i get overwhelmed lmao. it's really strange i view it that way, when i'm pretty adventurous when it comes to other stuff (food being a big example)

also i'm trying to work on a "best of kpop 2024" list, while i'm not going to go out of my way to listen to every release this year cause frankly the very thought exhausts me, i'll check out all the artists i like. as far as b-sides are concerned i'm already behind on artists like twice and shinee - which is odd for me cause they're two of my biggest faves. so i guess trying to make this list helps me catch up, if not anything else.

I always every Friday go hunting on Apple Music for new music bc that's usually the day new releases come out... although I think I should stop bc I already have like 11000 songs! lol
