SM arguably deserves the hate for plastic surgery, but they know what they are doing when it comes to Music

HYBE themselves is the best, amazing music and always show content for their artists (the susdary companies under HYBE may be questionable but no where near as bad as some of the others on this list

Im stuck between YG and JYP
JYP over works their artist's but the music is good (but JYP himself is pretty stupid) and the sexualization too is pretty sad
and YG ghosts their own artists and is the opposite of JYP when it comes to promotion

but YG takes the cake...They don't know how to do Proper Vocal Training cause I've seen Videos of Rose and Boom have outstanding vocals before, but then as official YG idols their voice has been tainted and destroyed by YG and it breaks my heart (even though the music that they make for SOME of their groups is outstanding (cough...Treasure!) all the stuff ik and am learning while reading this thread just can't save them from being the worst of the worst

They’re all shit in their own ways, but SM are just a little worse than the rest imo. YGE & JYPE are bad for all the reasons people gave above, but nobody has mentioned yet how trashy & unlikeable SM are.
for one they suck at protecting their artists, like in Jonghyun & Sulli’s cases; and the way they sent æspa to an all boys high school with very little security, leading to them being sexually harassed by the students online. Then there’s the situation with various NCT members from Mark and Haechan being extremely overworked to the handling of Lucas’ scandal. The treatment of f(x), EXO, SME’s blatant xenophobia towards their Chinese idols, should I go on?
SM may be the trendsetters and one of the top & founding companies of Kpop but the company as a whole is a dumpster fire

because of the many examples you gave, I expected to see a lot more votes for SM

but to me JYP just because none of the other agency throw every 2 seconds that they value personality and principle more than anything else

while meanwhile the CEO is out here sexualizing minors, bodyshamming girls who just came to audition or have the audacity to say to a 15yo " you're too pretty that i couldn't focus"
also i just can't with his big ego of always trying to be on the spotlight at the detriment of his idols

IF Yg ran JYP at lleast these groups would get a bit of a break lol
SM Running HYBE, got that would be kinda cool, we could see more vocal based songs and id love for it
HYBE running SM would aslo be really cool because SM isnt known for their dancers as much as HYBE or JYP is so HYBE be giving us and helping aSM groups with dancing skills!
