I’ve been on a new recipe kick, and these are 3 recipes I’ve made recently. All historical to some level. Which would you want to try most, if given the chance?
1-Om Ali. This uses recipes dating from 10th-13th century. It’s a bread pudding thing that uses ripped up and dried pieces of flatbread, topped with melted butter, golden raisins, almonds, and pistachio. Then you make a liquid made of milk, cream, sugar, rosewater, cinnamon, and cardamom. Then it’s baked.
2-This is an older recipe for a deep dish pizza. It has mozzarella and Italian sausage inside.
3-This one is a rice pudding, topped with half a poached pear, drizzled with chocolate syrup, and a sliced strawberry.
