I can't say I can think of a group as a whole that still actively gets a barrage of hate that deserves it since controversies you'd put down to malicious intent are usually not done by entire groups.

That's a good point. It reminds me of how some big controversies, people will assume the other members knew what the offending member was up to, but the vast majority of groups are people who were assigned to be together by their agency, not IRL BFFs who are always by each others' sides.

For real. I’ve seen people say that it’s unrealistic that other NCT members wouldn’t know what Taeil did and it just seems like a dubious assumption. Im not in a group like that, sure, but I’ve obviously lived with family, and I know if I committed a crime of that extend I wouldn’t be like “hey guys, how’s your evening? For me personally I just committed a crime. Wanna watch some TV?” Ive got no issue with people hating Taeil because if it, that’s completely earned, and if another NCT member was also involved it would also be earned. But why are the other members being brought into it when there wasn’t reason to think they were involved?

People are usually projecting doing that because they want to believe they would obviously be able to tell but people doing things they know they shouldn't be aren't going to be open about it and there have been situations where serial killers spouse and children did not know so even people who are always by a persons side can be fooled.

Exactly. People like that know that the average person is going to be revolted by what they're doing; they're not going around casually talking about it to anyone who will listen. They feel out fellow creeps first.
