After the comparisons between ILLIT and NewJeans, I got curious to see if this happened before ​

It didn't help that YG introduced Blackpink as being essentially "2NE1 but pretty." For a group he didn't think much of, YG really liked to promote that he was constantly working on the next iteration of them.
