Iz*One is probably the most obvious example, their impact is still felt on the industry to this day. Arguably the most successful group to come out of a survival show ​

If 2NE1 counts then maybe SNSD n KARA may still be popular after somewhat 'military' freeze/hibernation? Or at least KARA seemingly 'officially' disbanded n then reunification like 2NE1 (unless u count the maknae/non original member as last man standing when others left?) It's how u think of disbanded group being popular I think, iz*one as a whole I don't think counts as a popular group anymore, no one is buying albums/merch/tix or promoting full izone group just individual members(go SAY MY NAME!) just my pov as a non izone stan.

I thought about SNSD, but have they officially disbanded? I thought they hadn't, which is why I didn't count them. For the Izone part tbh I think most disbanded groups would count as not buying whole group stuff en masse, but I don't think that means they aren't popular, and I think it applies to most disbanded groups tbh. And I think they'd probably be more popular than the others listed, partially because they're more recent I'd think, but they seem popular compared to other disbanded ones regardless.

I think I count SNSD "as practically as good as disbanded" or as much as Fin.kl or G.O.D. during times they weren't promoting(when they were officialy "disbanded"(?), I mean if not officially at least in hibernation/kinda dungeoned until 2027(20th anniversary cb[if tat, with Sunny missing from SMEnt n unknown if she's joining LSM new venture A20 Ent.{hint of SMEnt v A20 Ent all out war!}]) Only Taeyeon n hyo will be (at least for now) in SM Town 2025 concert/album (if it comes).

At least the members of SNSD (bar Sunny so far) hv individual careers(sunny's rich af n can rest!)

I hereby retract SNSD, KARA as disbanded/grps tat r still popular as per replies from ahsoka n cherish(by the argument of sales/merch/lightstick or SNSD/KARA not being disbanded/selling albums/other stuff due to unavailability rn.)
