This, tbh. A lot of idols use kpop as a jumping point into acting, and a lot of productions want idols to bring their fanbase along.

SNSD's Yoona immediately come to mind, as did MBLAQ's Lee Joon. Both because of Netflix lol.

I haven't watched many kdramas but for my favs

the only one's I've watched are dramas from Jisoo and now the K-movie from Dahyun

also the movie is an adaptation from a taiwanese movie I think
