Yuri has one of the most captivating stares in K Pop. Her eyes just lure you right in!!!

And from these very early solo performances I used to rave on about how among Soshi Yuri had some of the biggest potential for going solo. Because she had it all. The talent, the stage presence and the visuals. The only downside is how criminally underrated she's always been...

SM waited too long to give Soshi their solo debuts and no way was anyone going to get their solo debut before Taeyeon.

SM didn't believe in Yuri either. But she proved them wrong! Even Knetz questioned why SM left it so late for Yuri. They said that she had Lee Hyori potential as a soloist.

Yuri is also one of the most professional and passionate idols in the industry. Back in 2017 she required surgery to repair the damaged ligaments in her ankle. However she delayed the surgery so that she could rehearse and perform with SNSD on the group's 10th Anniversary. She was literally injecting painkillers into her ankles to subdue the pain whilst performing some of Soshi's hardest choreography. That's just how much SNSD and Sone mean to her.

Watch this performance and you won't believe that she was in a lot of pain. (on the comeback stages you could see the bandages around her ankle)

Yuri always releases absolute bangers

Her road to recovery was very long and I remember her posts that were to reassure Sone that she was okay. Though fortunately I think (hope) that she's made a full recovery. Because it would be a shame if she's suffered life changing injuries like Sunny :(
