YouTube has been using a lot of automated tools to find and demonetize what they categorize as hate speech, but it’s not that great and targets keywords without context. One thing that can get a video demonetized is if it talks about and mentions the words Nazi or Hitler. Because of that, a lot of YouTubers who discuss history will use certain phrases in place of the original keyword, and calling Hitler “the Austrian painter” is used by some. So now when I see the word painter I think of Hitler

You don’t have to be sorry, it’s not ruined in the sense that it upsets me, it’s just ruined in the sense that he’s the first person I think of when I see that word instead of automatically thinking of very talented painters who aren’t horrible beings, which is a shame for those painters But after the Hitler thought I do think of the other painters
