I've seen many many people pressuring others (celebrities, influencers, their friends....) to "speak up" about the events happening anytime anything big happens. This gives me big time anxiety.
I just saw a "friend" of mine tell everyone who isn't active over this certain matter go f*** themselves, just because Bella Hadid and bunch of other celebrities spoke about it on their insta accounts... I am just... disgusted and disapointed... And anxious, idk why.

it does get annoying for sure. i also had that happen before and one was like an extreme, basically a friend telling me to choose a side even tho i knew nothing about the situation they were talking bout
my mom also pressures me a bit, cause i always go look into certain things and try to be aware of big news, so when ukraine vs russia happened she would ask me my opinion and what i knew bout it, while im just trynna eat :<

I've seen people go as far as to unstan certain musicians bc they didn't speak up about this incident or that ordeal. It just makes me sick when people do that! You can applaud them if they do speak up, sure, but FORCING them to? That's crossing the line!

while i believe it is important to use your platform, most of the time an actor or singer is not the right person to lead a conversation about social issues simply because they're not educated enough. some people maybe do things quietly but do not feel like they have the knowledge to speak up on their own which is okay to me because i'd rather have celebs shut up and open their purses when it's necessary than pull up some performative bullsh*t like that gal gadot imagine video.
