Why is ageism the ism most people are comfortable with? (1 Viewer)

Have you noticed this? I see ageism being used against others or try to control them. And people seem pretty okay with it.

I think it's so normalized by society to 'treat elders' with respect that they don't realize it isn't supposed to be used to belittle or disrespect those younger than them

Exactly! I feel like elderly people just use this to be disrespectful. Like if Mary Sue/Bobby Sue treats someone horribly, why are they surprised when someone reciprocates those feelings?I just don’t get it.
