A good chunk of 24k too, NCT have more than average of people happy to see new ones vs most groups fandoms also.

maybe it was expected?? since before debut they already introduced her as a mystic trainee, so it's kinda expected they're gonna add her into the group to make them odd number of members.
other case, we're also kinda expected chaewon/yena (post izone) to be added to rocket punch/everglow since they've been together since trainee days but turned we're wrong.

it think it’s also that they added her like two weeks after their debut and she promoted Billie's debut song with them, so many people think she was a member from the beginning

In that case I think it's because there wasn't an established fandom yet. They were so new that it didn't seem like a big change to add her a few months later.
