I think it depends on the end goal as some of the decisions do leave me curious like the decision for soloists to have 5 cards as I don't think they really encapsulate different eras and while it may help padding the game out now it won't really be necessary long term.

As for Jessica/Taeyeon specifically however I don't think most new generation fans know SNSD and only really know Taeyeon because of her solos still doing well on charts from time to time so I think whatever justification is given for Sunmi would go for Taeyeon at this point as they are on similar grounds.

i feel like that's because wg and ioi (or 4minute where hyuna used to be) are completely disbanded whereas snsd are not. but i still hope to get a taeyeon card
