BTS are my ults bc they were the first K-pop group I was introed to. It's kinda funny, actually - I was asking a Twitter oomf which member it was in a pic she'd tweeted. A completely innocent question about a random K-pop idol (it was Namjoon, btw) turned into me falling down the BTS (and later K-pop) rabbit hole. lol

EXO have the most varied discography in kpop, and yet they continuously strive to find new ways of expressing themselves. Even in their whole superpower concept, they've subtly weaved it in various concepts (mvs, lyrics, concert performances etc)

I was drawn into their personalities and how they always seem to have fun even if they're tired or the atmosphere is tense or awkward. they have bops too

I have been a hard rock/metal fan ever since I originally found the genre. When I came to check kpop out, I found there was only one group that actually satisfied me; so I went to look for more similar groups among the jpop groups. They impressed me since the first time I listened to them.

So they sing and dance to loud rock. Their songs have electronic sounds. They have good vocals. They have an impressive screamer, the best on all the Japanese idol scene.

It's possible for another group to be my ultimate group now if they would fill in the template of what I was looking for back then. They just came at the right time.

They are Japanese, not Korean. And they are not one of those lame "cutesy" jpop groups. My ult group, PassCode, is an alt-idol group.

For Winner and Blackpink I just really love the members and their personalities. I love their music too
