I have this friend who is dating this guy-- Said friend is lgbtq+ btw and this guy has told my friend numerous times that he hates the lgbtq community and that he doesn't support us at all. And literally they tell me. "He's not homophobic he just doesn't support it."

That is literally homophobia

Then a bunch of things happened with this guy where he turned out to be straight up toxic, and you know what they say "I just like toxic guys, like I know it's bad but I can't help it."

i mean if there is a chance that their significant other might hurt them in some way then yes i do feel bad for them because no one deserves that, there are numerous reasons as to why some people stay in unhealthy relationships and i didn't want to judge someone that i don't know

Yikes... seems like your friend really likes him so she has been overlooking his homophobia and trying to make excuses for it. sadly there really isn't anything you can do in this situation but wait for her to come to her senses. hopefully she learns that being toxic isn't an ideal trait to have in a partner, it will just make her life more difficult
