Isn't his race naturally stronger in the force than other species? or maybe he wasn't so into the dark force as it seemed, because now that I think about it Dooku looked very normal for his age and didn't even had Sith eyes.

The thing is this seems to be an unsettled point. Did Palpatine look deformed prior to his fight with Mace Windu? I don't think so. There are a number of theories around, but I think the one that makes the best sense was that the reflected force lightning deformed him. It seems there is a novel that has Plagueis explain to Sidious that if a Sith Lord gets force lightning; it'd had very deforming effects. So possibly the whole explanation of that video is incorrect.

That theory sounds like the most coherent to me as well but still doesn't explain why all other sith lords look like shit. It's not like everyone mastered force lighting or there were many sith lords left to fight with either since they killed each other all the time, so it wouldn't be more than 2 at the same time...

Anyway; there is another theory that says Darth Sidious was wearing an "Alchemy Mask"; some kind of magical mask that concealed his deformity and that it got broken by the deflected force lightning.
