Ngl I wouldnt notice itit's honestly why I started giffing myself, so I'd always have multiple copies around, that and more gif creators placing more importance on no reposting/reusing elsewhere
for me it's irritating because i actually don't mind people sharing my stuff but at least credit it? like i had a one tenth of a millimeter apart gif reposted go viral on twitter and it was so annoying because i know i spent forever even finding a place to download the film, much less plan the clips to gif and color, and i don't even use paid services like photoshop or their pluginsNgl I wouldnt notice itI just find gifs on tumblr, google or pinterest, if its pretty, I take it, I dont go reading about to see if its free or not, I regard gifs as free property

they js post it on Tumblr and don't say to not repost so I use them, but honestly I most of the time don't read those things T^Tit's honestly why I started giffing myself, so I'd always have multiple copies around, that and more gif creators placing more importance on no reposting/reusing elsewhere
aaahh damnnope
it think it's this one?
see my issue is that i'm in far too niche fandoms and/or no one wants to create visual content (i's a dying art with the proliferation of ai i fear), and after starting to gif myself (really irregularly though) i've started to understand why people say not to repost because genuinely the learning curve and time spent is a lot more than you'd expect and no one ever credits and passes it off as their ownthey js post it on Tumblr and don't say to not repost so I use them, but honestly I most of the time don't read those things T^T
I don't make gifs bc I don't want a watermark on it and I don't think it's worth it to pay them for it
I think I downloaded it but i've done this before (posting in a thread and then copying image address) and it ended up not working :/aaahh damn
usually when i use something, i save it and reupload to my postimg
the fandom I'm currently in (tangled the series) is kinda niche now and kinda was when the show was actually kinda popularsee my issue is that i'm in far too niche fandoms and/or no one wants to create visual content (i's a dying art with the proliferation of ai i fear), and after starting to gif myself (really irregularly though) i've started to understand why people say not to repost because genuinely the learning curve and time spent is a lot more than you'd expect and no one ever credits and passes it off as their own
i've given up on gimp but photopea is really good, that's what i use for everything including my entire layout right now, which is all 1080p so nowhere near the 4k+ the tumblr kpop giffers use and the quality is still relatively good as long as you're smart about the coloring and sharpening (or cropping if there's a lot happening)
like literally you just upload the mp4 and can select the fps and everything, there's no watermarks or anything and it's entirely free
okiiiiit think it's this one?
i only heard about the cassandra drama towards the end, love the songs though lmaoo (and yay for it getting menken his egot)the fandom I'm currently in (tangled the series) is kinda niche now and kinda was when the show was actually kinda popular
a lot of gifs were made but not nearly as many as say tangled (the movie)
oh yeahhhh that disgusted me. I love cassandra and I hate that that is how she was treatedi only heard about the cassandra drama towards the end, love the songs though lmaoo (and yay for it getting menken his egot)
worst cases for me were when i was literally the only person in the tags (to be hero x until broadcasting) or took up half of the tags (one drama too many), a few actresses i like i think i may be the only english speaking fan of so if i want content,, yeah i have to find it myself
it's funny but i think nearly all my technical skills are because i end up picking up new things to learn from fandom: coding, giffing, colouring, etc.
