Today on Choi HwaJung radio show Power Time æspa appeared n answered how they were cssted into SM.

Winter answered tat after appearing at a dance festival, a casting agent who saw her casted her. At first Winter thot it was a scam cos the agent dint mention the company name n asked if Winter wanted to be a celebrity. Minjeong the smartie had her doubts at first, such brains not to be scammed at first.

Her dancing skillz also helped, im sure. Even at tat age-im not sure where now but other twts from the trans. of the radio show said Winter trained for 1 n 1/2 yrs or sth, n NingNing trained for 5 yrs the longest of the members, so only/already 16/17 when she was casted? Uwu, Winter.

By comparison, EXO Baekhyun first revealed his casting story 6 yrs after debut, from wat i just found out but Winter n æspa took only a few mths, SM musta realised the story makes them seem more human n relatable, which i agree with. Let them be as human as possible SM.

I pulled up SM’s address on my computer and asked them what their address was. I continued asking them these kinds of questions to confirm that it was, in fact, SM. I ended up auditioning and made it after singing a TVXQ song.”

Nah, it wasnt just EXO, Im thinking-even RV n the SM groups b4 them were "mysterious" n seemed SM wanted to preserve an aura about them smh. But with Wendy n Seulgi, even Yeri n Joy-i think their personalities/characters/habits couldnt help it n just seemed more human smh. Idk abt EXO n NCT tho. The happy together i saw with taeyong n another nct member they seemed awkward without any aura of 'idol'-ness id say so maybe SM cant be bothered anymore cos it aint working, n newer idols cant be constrained tat way/fans want idols to be more real/human with foibles n a few flaws mebbe(except those toxic fans ofc) but lets not talk abt wat they want, here.

I feel like MOST of the members aren't that good at variety and there isn't as much need for them to GET good at it so to say. There are a few with potential, but those aren't the pushed members of the group.

With 23 members now, im discombobulated how they're goung to stand out in any way-i got confused when my teen niece was telling me abt NCT, NCT U, NCT Dream n i forgot the rest, its ok tho i think NCT just isnt for me(or old fogey kpop stans). Also i asked my niece then why are there 13 members in Seventeen n not 17 n she got mad at me. Sigh, old man/dad jokes going wrong.

I thot Taeyong was doing well with Jaehyun in tat ep of Happy Together, there were i think SM seniors like Baekhyun n somebody else so TY/JH couldnt/werent supposed to outshine their sunbae, they can do better maybe like Key or Taemin/Kai after 12/8 yrs doing more solo variety like on Amazing Saturday n Delicious Rendesvouz, just hang in there NCT guys, once Key, Minho, Onew, Taemin n EXO semi-retire n give up the stage(not literally) i mean the variety stage is more open, all 23 or however many NCT members there are at tat point can hv a chance to charm everyome's socks off in variety shows then.
