It's well known that compared to previous generations the current new lineup of boy groups are incredibly unpopular. Big 4s will still do fine and there will always be a niche market for BGs but the public as a whole have turned their eyes away from BGs. Most of the public that consumes this type of entertainment is women. And it seems Korean women have become sick and tired of Korean incels both antagonizing and sexualizing them. So the reputation of men has decreased even more.
Unless the male is a Cha Eunwoo level visual, they won't even give them a chance. And in recent times an incel producer has made misogynistic remarks about Street Women Fighter when comparing them to the male versions. Have the incels really turned off a lot of Korean women from the typical male idol just as with the average male?
